There are so many books and guides on happiness that it makes one wonder if we’re making it way more complicated than we need to. It’s simple. God created us to experience God’s complete joy. And all we need to do to experience that joy is to let God’s love rain down upon us, soak it in, and then share it with others. The more we give it away, the more it grows within us. So throw away your umbrellas and dance in the shower of God’s love.

Prayer
Joyful God, let your love rain down on us. Let the gentle drops penetrate the hardened soil of our hearts. Let it wash away the fear, anger, hurt and indifference. Let it soak in deep and germinate the seeds of love. Let it nourish the tender plants that break forth. Let it bloom and flower so that your love can be shared with others.
Rejoice so that they may share in my joy.
