Dear Lord,
During this Lenten season
impress deep within my heart the value of simple service,
quiet help and loving, attentive care.

MORNING PRAYER (Tuesday 02nd March 2021)
GOD IS FAITHFUL
Despite the cold and the dark, it was an impressive celebration. In his brief homily, given the circumstances, Bishop Varden spoke about Lent as a pilgrimage. He reminded everyone:
“Together we can return to God… It gives us joy that God does not give up on us. Even though we are unfaithful. He sees the seed of our good will even when it seems like it is frozen in the snow.”
ALL TO JESUS I SURRENDER
MORNING PRAYER (Friday 26th February 2021)
God, in your love and goodness
you have taught us
to overcome our failings with prayer, fasting and generosity;
accept our Lenten disciplines
as a sign of our great longing for you.
Amen.
CHANGE MY HEART OH GOD
MORNING PRAYER (Monday 1st March 2021)
Lent calls us to repentance. But if repentance doesn’t involve a chance of heart, it will not lead to a change of life. Lord, help us to turn our hearts away from fear, and embrace the good news.
PURIFY MY HEART
MORNING PRAYER (Thursday 25th February 2021)
God of peace, purify our hearts through fasting, prayer, words and works of kindness, that we may be new people who celebrate the paschal mystery. We ask this in the name of Jesus, the Eternal Word, who lives with you and the Holy Spirit, now and forever.
