Immersion Experience El Paso, TX / Juárez, MX
January 18 - 24, 2023
There are a couple of spaces still available!
During the last several weeks there has been a growing humanitarian crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border as thousands of migrants continue to cross into El Paso, Texas, every day. The city of El Paso has been under an emergency declaration as the humanitarian crisis has resulted in scores of migrants sleeping in the streets following an anticipated ending of a pandemic-related border restriction known as Title 42. Migrant advocates have strongly supported ending this border restriction including Catholic organizations, women religious and Bishop Mark Seitz of El Paso, Chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' Migration Committee.
Our immersion trip participants will have a unique opportunity to encounter and listen to the stories of our migrant sisters and brothers while serving them at one of the El Paso non-profit faith-based facilities. This is one of the many different experiences they will have while participating on this immersion trip. Applications are available HERE or by clicking the button below.
Accommodations, meals and ground transportation during the immersion are included for a suggested donation of $925. Travel to and from El Paso, TX are the responsibility of the participant. Proof of vaccination against Covid and current passport are required.
