IS LENT A TIME TO GIVE UP OR INCREASE?
Each Lent the Church invites us to deepen our obedience to and love for God with increased penitential practices. As we begin to think about what we are going to do for this coming Lent, we invite you to read this short but helpful article from Simply Catholic.
PRAY WITH THE WAY OF THE CROSS THIS LENT
The Stations of the Cross are a popular devotion in the Lenten season, particularly on Fridays. Consider adopting this practice this upcoming season with these two books from OSV Catholic Bookstore:
Way of the Cross for Loved Ones Who Have Left the Faith: While contemplating our Savior's sacrificial love, readers can intercede for friends and family as they spiritually carry the cross with Jesus, asking him to lead our loved ones back to Christ and his Church.
OSV Kids Stations of the Cross: This beautiful, ancient devotion allows children to understand the strength and mercy of God, to praise and thank Jesus for giving his life for us, and, ultimately, to find great hope in the redemption of the world through his holy cross.
