    Dear Deacon Dinh,

When driving I sometimes lose my way, but my phone is quick to help telling me it's “recalculating” a new path. Jesus uses the parable of the fig tree to remind us that without a change of ways, destruction is certain. This certainly applies to  our environment where we seem to be on a collision course. To get back on track, Pope Francis calls on all missionary disciples to enter into a new relationship with creation – one that does not exploit it, but rather contemplates its true gift and our place within it.

    Prayer

Loving God, you brought forth all creation to share your love. During our Lenten Journey stir within us your passion for your creation and this amazing planet we call home. Help us to hear how you call each of us to be in right relationship with you, others, and all creation. Come Holy Spirit, and make us advocates of God’s creation. Amen.

Continue your Lenten Journey with our Reflection Guide for the 3rd of Sunday of Lent, and check out our other Lenten Resources, such as our Stations of the Cross.

Our monthly webinar featuring a Maryknoll missioner is accepting signups for the next one with Fr. Joyalito Tajonero on April 6.  He will share with us his work with migrants in Taiwan.

    Peace,

Fr. Alfonso and the Maryknoll Mission Education Team
