A REFLECTION (Luke 12: 49-53)
THE FIGHT AGAINST SIN. Some of the first converts to Christianity were shocked to find that their lives as Christians still contained many difficulties. In some cases, becoming a Christian added to their troubles as they met opposition from non-Christian family members. We too face difficulties of one kind or another. Participating in the Eucharist does not eliminate our problems, but gives us the strength and courage we need not to give up in the face of them.
