Father in heaven,
Form in us the likeness of your Son
and deepen his life within us.
Send us as witnesses of gospel joy
into a world of fragile peace and broken promises.

God of Jesus, Father and Mother of us all,
With these gifts we offer you our lives
to do your work in the world.
Take our bodies and our minds,
Our work and our leisure,
our relationships with other people,
our friendships and our family life,
our dreams and our doubts,
our faith and our plans for the future.
In the name of Christ Jesus our Lord,
We bring them to you.

MORNING PRAYER (Wednesday 05 August 2020)
Jesus is with us, living in our brothers and sisters who share our daily existence; his face is that of the poor, of those living on the margins of life, of those who are victims of an unjust model of development.
Let us pray that recognising the many and diverse forms of poverty, we may know how to see and welcome in the presence of the suffering Christ, who enriches everyone for eternity. We pray to the Lord.
