LOVE YOUR ENEMIES. The words of Jesus we hear in today’s Gospel are very challenging: ‘love your enemies, do good to those who persecute you, freely part with your possessions and money, do not judge, forgive.’ In brief, we are asked to imitate the unconditional compassion and love of God. The challenge is so is the reward. The more we give to others, the more richly we are blessed.
