A REFLECTION (Luke 9: 11-17)

FOOD FOR THE MULTITUDES. After feeding the crowds with the loaves and fishes blessed by Jesus, his disciples gathered twelve baskets of leftovers, Jesus, this generous giver, always provides too much, a sign that his gifts are never meant to be hoarded but to be shared with others. Seeing the poor and hungry of our world, he says to us what he said to his disciples, ‘give them something to eat yourselves’. Nourished by his body and blood in the Eucharist, let us go out and generously share our gifts with others.
