    MORNING PRAYER (Friday 25th November 2022) 

     

    SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

    Many people did not believe in Jesus and some even made fun of him. Has anyone made fun of you? How did you feel? What did you do?

     

    THE STORY

    In this gospel reading we hear about Jesus right at the end of his life on earth. He is hanging on the cross, and some people are making fun of him. They are saying that if Jesus really is God’s son, he should just get down off the cross. One of the criminals who was also on a cross beside Jesus makes fun of him too. But the criminal on the other side is different. He knows that Jesus has done nothing wrong, and he believes in Jesus. He asks Jesus to remember him when he comes into his kingdom. Jesus promises the good criminal that he would be together with Jesus in heaven.  

    Dear Jesus, you are the King of love, peace and happiness. Help me to be loving, peaceful and happy too. Amen.
