    Pope Francis

    In his Angelus address on Jan. 1, Pope Francis spoke about patience and apologized for losing his patience with a pilgrim who grabbed his hand on New Year’s Eve and wouldn’t let go.
    Two bishops offered words of condolence and prayers to the families of victims of a church shooting in which two worshippers were killed near Fort Worth, Texas.

    Archbishop Bernard Hebda of the Archdiocese of St. Paul-Minneapolis spoke of how deacons make Jesus present in the Church in his homily at the ordination of 10 men as permanent deacons on Dec. 7.
