Ever merciful and compassionate God, you call us to oneness. With your guidance, we know that change is possible. Open our hearts to genuinely listen to others. Lead us to forgiveness, reconciliation and peace. We ask this through your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the perfect model of forgiveness.

Lord help me to see your face in every person I meet today.

Let me experience your love and compassion so that I in turn may be loving

And compassionate towards every person who crosses my path today.

MORNING PRAYER (Wednesday 18/06/2019)

Dear God,

Usually in my prayers I ask for things that I want. But in this prayer I would like to pray for someone else, because I have more than them. In this prayer I would like to pray for the poor. Please make sure they are ok because they cannot afford to pay for a doctor to help them. I would also like to pray for the homeless please could you look after them and help them find food and shelter.

MORNING PRAYER (Friday 14/06/2019)

Thank you for guiding me, Holy Spirit

Thank you, Holy Spirit, for all you do for me.

That lesson plan, that dull, dull plan,

ended up being one of my best lessons.

When I went back to it, I could see right away

That it lacked something essential.

There was not time for personal prayer,

for the children to encounter you.

When that became my priority,

the whole lesson took wing.

The children responded so well.

They welcomed the opportunity to pray quietly

with hands and hearts outstretched,

reaching for you,

This time of prayer also opened their minds.

They had more questions that usual,

and more enthusiasm too.

I never would have thought it.

Thanks again.
